Let us know you're coming! The Bi-Weekly Harmonium Sangha at Shanti Temple is an intimate, heart-centered gathering in Floyd, VA for those drawn to mantra, sacred chanting, and devotional practice. Â
Every other Thursday evening, we come together to:Â Â
• Learn and practice Mantras
• Explore proper pronunciation and meaning Â
• Learn how to use the Mantra and how to invoke the deity in your meditation practice.
• Share reflections, questions, and lived experiences.Â
• Sit in community with like-hearted seekers.Â
I’ll be teaching harmonium in a gentle, accessible way, and you’re also welcome to participate with Kartals (Indian cymbals), hand percussion, or simply your voice. No musical experience is required, just a willingness to learn, chant, and be part of the sound.
Whether you’re brand new to chanting or already in love with Kirtan and Sacred Singing, this Sangha offers a gentle space to deepen your practice, steady your nervous system, and remember you’re not walking the path alone.

Hi I'm Kelly!
I've been a lifelong student of music, trying many different ways to express myself musically and working through a performance anxiety along the way. I finally found my home in musical sangha – spiritual community – where music is less about performing and more about being together.
Over time I learned there is no final destination with musical expression. It all counts – the shaky first notes, the messy middle, and the moments of ease.
My harmonium offerings are an invitation to let your own heart unfold in sound, at a pace that feels gentle and real.

Testimonials
Ashera
"Kelly is passionate about Kirtan, and her delight in playing music and singing is contagious. Her devotion and skill shine through in Kirtan covers and her own original songs. She leads and teaches with playfulness and fun. And with her natural spunk and enthusiasm, all of us will be supported in our learning. The circle will be a place of connection and I look forward to having Kelly as a resource and mentor!"
Erika
I was part of Kelly's month long harmonium cohort, and I learned so much! It was just the right amount of music theory to comprise a basis of understanding of the chords that we were using and so gratifying to graduate with several Kirtan songs under my belt! Kelly is a kind, patient and enthusiastic teacher, and I would recommend her class to anyone who thinks they might want to learn the harmonium.Â
